The Message Template Editor

You can create multiple message templates for the portal to choose from using the Message Template tool. This tool allows you to create the template which may include either email communications, SMS communications, or both. 

Go to the Settings section of the admin, select "Portal Management," and choose the portal you want to set the template for. Then select "Message Templates" under the CONTENT section on the left-hand menu.


On this page, you can view all message templates that currently exist in the portal in the table along with details pertaining to each of them. 

Setting the email template


  1. Enter a title.

  2. Enter a subject line.

  3. Configure the template for the email. You can add rich text, images, and links (you can link to any content that is enabled in the portal's content library). You can also include replacement tags for member's first name, last name, and email address.

  4. If needed, add versions of the template in Hindi, Spanish, and/or French-Canadian.

  5. You can insert a link to any article or video resource enabled within the portal. 

To include a text message version in this template (or to make the template exclusively text), click on the SMS option from the template editor. 


  1. Add a title.

  2. Add the body for the text.

  3. If needed, add versions of the template in Hindi, Spanish, and/or French-Canadian.

  4. Insert a link to a resource enabled in the portal.

Once a template is created and saved, it will appear as a template option when sending email communications to members.
