Using Replacement Tags in Messaging

Replacement tags can be used to personalize certain types of messaging in the Engagement Rx system. Using replacement tags is one way to provide a more personalized experience for your members and users. When you insert a replacement tag, it will appear with the information related specifically to the member who receives the message.


Replacement tags can be used in automated and individual messages, message templates, and in the page and quiz components (using the header editor) in flows.


There are replacement tags for the following:

  • First name
  • Last name
  • Email address
  • Portal homepage (the URL for the member's homepage is inserted)


For messages, the Replacement tag option is listed in the editor:




 


For Flows 2 components, click the "more" menu, then click the replacement tag option. When adding to a question, you have to open the "question header" editor first:
