This course provides people who regularly spend extended periods sitting at a desk with practical strategies and simple, effective movements to improve their physical health, boost energy levels, and enhance productivity.  


Course Modules

  1. Why Movement Matters
    The risks of prolonged sitting, mainly focused on health (both short- and long-term) and productivity impact.
    What happens in the body when you sit too long? Why are short, frequent desk exercises effective in preventing issues?
  2. Pay Attention to Posture and Organize
    Before deskercising, set up your workspace for success and maintain good positioning and posture.
    Stretching to relieve tension, including the neck roll and the spine twist.
  3. Desk Exercises for Energy and Efficiency
    Shows how to do seated leg lifts, shoulder shrugs, standing hamstring stretches, calf raises, and others with guidance on how often to do these exercises.
  4. Stretch, Deskercise, and Walk
    Discuss importance of getting up and walking (do I need to go for a real walk? Is it valuable to just get up and step outside for a moment?
