The Hydration Celebration Challenge is designed to enhance the overall health of the participant as they’re encouraged to practice healthy hydration habits while learning about the importance of ongoing proper hydration.

- Recommended Time of Year: Spring or Summer, when it is most crucial to stay hydrated
- Program Completion Type: Minimum tokens, 500
Purpose/Benefits of the Hydration Challenge
This challenge encourages participants to achieve daily hydration goals on eight out of 14 days, promoting consistent and healthy hydration practices that can become part of a healthy lifestyle. This challenge also provides information on hydration, why it’s important, and tips on determining individual hydration needs.
Outline of the Hydration Challenge Phases
Phase 1 (Days 1-7): Awareness and Understanding
Theme: Track your daily hydration intake while reaching the goal at least 4 times; learn about the effects of dehydration, the benefits of staying hydrated, and how to determine your individual hydration needs. This phase sets the foundation for informed hydration choices.
Phase Completion Type: All Required Activities
Required
- Use the Hydration Tracker: Meet your hydration goal at least 4 times this week. (70 tokens)
- Read the article “The Importance of Hydration for Your Health.” (100 tokens)
- Complete the flow “How to Determine Your Personal Hydration Needs.” (100 tokens)
Optional
- Read the article "What are the Signs and Symptoms of Dehydration?" (50 tokens)
Phase 2 (Days 8-14): Implementation and Habit Formation
Theme: Apply the knowledge from phase 1 to meet hydration goals. This phase emphasizes hydration habit formation and reveals some surprising sources of hydration.
Phase Completion Type: All Required Activities
Required
- Use the Hydration Tracker: Meet your hydration goal at least 4 times this week. (70 tokens)
- Read the article “Beyond the Plain Glass of Water: Healthy Hydration Options.” (100 tokens)
- Complete the flow "Basics of Hydration Quiz." (100 tokens)
