Method 1: Using Health Connect App
- Download Health Connect: Begin by downloading the Health Connect app from the Google Play Store and install it on your device.
- Open Health Connect: Once the installation is complete, open the Health Connect app to get started.
- App Permissions: Access the "App permissions" section within Health Connect.
- Select Samsung Health: Locate Samsung Health from the list of apps and choose the specific data permissions you want to grant to Health Connect for writing purposes.
- Select Google Fit: Similarly, find Google Fit from the app list and specify the data permissions you wish to allow Health Connect to read.
Method 2: Alternative Approach
Should you encounter any difficulties with the first method, don't worry, we have an alternative solution that may take a bit longer but is very effective.
- Open Samsung Health: Launch the Samsung Health app on your device.
- Access Settings: Tap the three-dot menu icon in the main menu, then select "Settings."
- Health Connect: Within the settings, locate the "Health Connect" option and select it.
- Data Permissions: Review the data permissions that have been granted to Samsung Health. Make sure that the relevant permissions are enabled, and if not, activate them accordingly.
- Allow Access: Confirm the data permissions by tapping "Allow" to grant Health Connect the necessary access.
- Open Google Fit: Now, open the Google Fit app on your device.
- Go to Profile: Tap on the Profile tab located in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
- Access Settings: Look for the Settings icon, typically located at the top-right of the screen, and tap on it.
- Sync with Health Connect: Enable the "Sync Fit with Health Connect" toggle.
- Set Up: Proceed to the next step by tapping "Set up."
- Data Permissions: Select the specific data permissions you wish to allow Google Fit to read from Health Connect.
