Syncing Trackers for Apple Health/Apple Watch Users

Modified on Wed, Aug 21 at 9:27 AM

Apple stores fitness data at the device level, so for members who want to sync an Apple device with the Engagement Rx system, they'll need to download an intermediary app to grant ERx access to the data: We recommend the Withings app.

Note: After these steps are completed, syncing may take 24 hours.

Steps: Syncing an Apple Device/App

  1. Download the Withings Health Mate app from the App Store.
  2. Open the app and select "Get Started." Follow the prompts to create an account and set it up or sign into an existing account. If you’re asked if you want to activate Apple Health, select Activate.
  3. Next, give permissions to share health data with Withings. You can choose the specific data types you want to allow or you can select "Turn On All."
  4. Go to the trackers library in the member portal. Choose the tracker you want to use and click on “Sync my device” from that tracker’s tile.
  5. Click “Get Started” and then select Withings from the options that appear.
  6. Sign in to your Withings account and give permission to share data with Human API (this is the company that is used to power the trackers library in ERx).

You should now have a “Success!” message and you can select the “I’m Finished Connecting Accounts.”
