Self-Registration Authentication

This article is about setting up a portal with Self-Registration as the authentication type.


When you set a portal as Self-Registration, portal members will register for a portal account before gaining access, then they will either have access to all enabled courses (unlocked courses) or they will need course activation codes to gain access to courses (locked courses).


To set a portal with Self-Registration as the authentication type:

  1. Go to the Settings section in the admin website.
  2. Enter the Portal Management module.
  3. Select the portal you want to manage.
  4. Select “User Authentication” from the side menu on the left.
  5. Select “Self-Register – Locked Courses” and select "Configure settings" beneath the option.
