Branding a Portal

Modified on Wed, Aug 21 at 8:55 AM

This article explains how to configure a portal for certain branding options (this page includes some of the branding, or white labeling, options for a portal). Admins with the Portal Manager role have access to this section of the admin website.

To learn more about white labeling in general, see this article

To set or edit branding configurations for a portal:

  • Go to the Settings section in the admin website.
  • Go to the Portal Management module (choose the portal if you have more than one).
  • Select "Branding" from the left-side menu in the SETTINGS section.

Here you have three options to brand the portal to your liking.

Custom logo

By default, the Engagement Rx logo appears at the top of every web page and in the top left corner of system emails sent by Engagement Rx.  You can replace the Engagement Rx logo with a custom logo as follows:

Click the "Change Logo" button and either click the "Select New File" button or or drag-and-drop a new image onto the Change Logo dialogue

  • File types supported include JPEG (.jpg) and PNG (.png) files.
  • Ensure that the size of the logo image is 250(w) x 80(h) or greater.

After uploading the image, be sure it fits into the white box. You can use the slide-bar to adjust the size:

Note: The logo does not display on the website when running in any embed mode. However, the logo appears in the upper left-hand corner of emails using the default master email template (see Configuring Master Email Template).  The master email template can be altered to remove the BrandLogo tag.  However, we recommend keeping the logo in the master email template to provide your users with some legitimacy to the emails they receive.

Custom favicon

A favicon is a small version or representation of the logo that appears in browser tabs and helps to visually brand the page for the user. Uploading the favicon is done in the same fashion as the logo.

  • File types supported include JPEG (.jpg) and PNG (.png) files.
  • Ensure that the image is 16(w) x 16(h) or greater.

Note: Both the logo and the favicon can be reset back to the default by clicking "Restore default logo/favicon" next to the CHANGE LOGO button. Doing this will activate the Engagement Rx logo/favicon.

Custom landing page messaging

An optional message can be included at the top of the portal home page that appears before a user logs into the Engagement Rx solution.  Note: landing page messages do not apply to portals configured with Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication.
