The Page Builder Tool

Modified on Wed, Jul 10 at 11:00 AM

This article is about the page builder tool in the admin website. This tool can be used to enable page templates and create customized pages for a portal. Furthermore, once a page is created, it can be accessed by other tools in the admin website—automations and flows—for use in the portal.

Note: Engagement Rx comes with premade system templates that you can easily and quickly enable for use in your portal. To read about enabling a system Page template, see this article.

What is a Page?

In this context, a page is a single, specific destination that members go to when visiting the portal. The page builder enables you to create customized pages by selecting various building blocks, which are called “components,” and arranging them as tiles within sections on the page. For instance, you can build a homepage that has tiles arranged for specific content, courses, and trackers that the portal members will see when they log into the portal.

Pages can be crafted to highlight a specific theme, topic, or to encourage the member to take certain actions. For instance, you may create a page designed to help someone manage their weight by including a weight tracker, weight loss courses, content related to weight management, and so on.

Pages can be assigned to members as their homepage, meaning the destination that they arrive at when they log in, in different ways:

  1. It can be assigned as the Member Dashboard Page in the General Settings for the portal.
  2. It can be individually assigned to a member in the Account Info section of member details.
  3. It can be assigned when the member reaches a Page component in a flow or automation.

Where Should I Start?

Engagement Rx comes with premade system page templates that enable you to get started quickly and easily. To learn more about enabling a system page template, see this article.

To build a new page from scratch, you can select a blank template and arrange a single section or multiple sections as you’d like them to appear. You can determine what appears in a section by setting configurations or by dropping component tiles —this is explained more in this article.
